👤 About the role

This is a senior role with end-to-end ownership of GoDutch’s regulatory and compliance foundation. You will execute our EMI licensing strategy, act as the primary interface with regulators, and build scalable risk and compliance frameworks that enable safe, compliant, and accelerated growth across Europe. You work closely with founders, advisors, and leadership to unlock new markets and support long-term scale.

📈 What does success look like?

• Own and execute GoDutch’s EMI licensing strategy by defining scope, jurisdictions, and roadmap, acting as the primary point of contact with regulators and translating regulatory requirements into clear internal policies.

• Lead a successful EMI license application by coordinating internal teams and external advisors, drafting and submitting a complete and high-quality application, managing regulator Q&A cycles, and delivering on all milestones and commitments.

• Build a robust, scalable risk framework by defining risk appetite and tolerances, identifying and managing operational, credit, fraud, and AML risks, and maintaining a clear risk register with effective mitigation plans.

• Establish best-in-class compliance operations by owning AML, CTF, KYC, sanctions, transaction monitoring, investigations, and incident handling processes that support frictionless and compliant customer growth.

• Create strong governance and oversight by preparing regulatory reports and filings, running internal reviews and audits, supporting board and committee reporting, and ensuring third-party providers meet GoDutch’s regulatory and compliance standards.
